Charlie performs the ondes Martenot part in two performances of Messiaen's Turangalîla-Symphonie with the Rehearsal Orchestra. One of the most demanding works in the repertoire, Turangalîla is also one of the ondes Martenot's greatest showcases. Composed for Yvonne Loriod (piano) and Ginette Martenot (ondes Martenot), it remains the work in which the instrument is most prominently featured in the orchestral canon.
