Chopin Residue at the Polish Jazz Festival

Charlie performs at the Polish Jazz Festival's London showcase of Chopin Residue — Mariusz Szypura's large-scale experimental project that deconstructs Chopin's piano music, stripping it back to its harmonic residue and rebuilding it through collaboration with some of the most distinctive names in contemporary music: Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Adrian Utley (Portishead), John Stanier (Battles), Gail Ann Dorsey, Jim O'Rourke, and others. Charlie contributed ondes Martenot and theremin to the double album released on The Black Element Label in November 2025, appearing on Étude Op. 25 No. 12 and as the sole featured artist on Prelude Op. 28 No. 20.
